Set up by a group of companies, the Private Sector Humanitarian Platform steps in the field of Risk and Disaster Management (CRM) in Madagascar. As an actor, it participates in activities, projects and programs related to the various phases of the DRM continuum, in accordance with the international and national conventional frameworks. It is for this involvement of the private sector of Madagascar that the Connecting Business Initiative (CBi) of UNOCHA has financed the project in supporting the PSHP of Madagascar to work on the establishment of a humanitarian platform of the private sector in the Indian Ocean Region.
Thus, a consultation mission to Mauritius was carried out from 18 to 21 June 2018. Stakeholders met to support the implementation of the “PSHP Indian Ocean” are the following:
